Awarded Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation From the Joint Commission

Joint Commission Accreditation SealAfter an in-depth, on-site evaluation, our practice was officially accredited by The Joint Commission in 2023. Their team reviewed how we manage patient safety, handle medications, control infections, and prepare for emergencies — among many other critical areas.

This accreditation isn’t required. We chose to pursue it as part of our commitment to offering reliable, patient-centered care. The review is voluntary, but we saw it as a way to test ourselves against high industry benchmarks and continue improving.

For people who visit our offices, this means one thing: you’re getting care from a team that values doing things right. We work hard to maintain a high standard in every aspect of our operations, from basic screenings to complex procedures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★From the receptionists to the doctors, everyone is just amazing. They’re genuinely sweet and caring. They ask all the questions, offer assistance even if you don’t think you need it and just want to make sure you have the best experience possible. One of the best medical facilities I have been to. Hospitality is felt throughout the entire stay.

The Joint Commission

Established in 1951, The Joint Commission is an independent organization that reviews and accredits health care providers across the country. Its goal is to promote safe, effective care by setting standards that medical practices must meet and maintain.

When a medical facility earns this seal, it’s gone through a detailed review and shown it can meet the organization’s expectations across the board. It’s one of the most widely recognized health care credentials in the U.S.

We’re proud to be part of a group of providers who meet these standards. At Manhattan Gastroenterology, this is another step in our effort to deliver outstanding GI care, with a focus on both medical excellence and a positive patient experience.
